Interesting read!
Very minor nit: It would have been better to just replace the old-style long "s" (for example, in "curiofity") with a contemporary "s".
EDIT: Looks like "long s" exists in Unicode: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_s#In_Unicode
