I initially assumed Metal meant their own dedicated hardware. It turns out it means they use AWS nvme drives instead. A bit surprising given the name. But makes sense, we could never put our database outside of AWS.
This is high availability and unlimited IOPs at $50 a month. It's likely impossible to find cheaper hosted Postgres with comparable features.
