login.gov is toast by the end of this adminstration. i know cause i work for the government and are in process of removing login.gov and replacing it with id.me (ial2)
This is absolutely unacceptable. Why do I have to give a third party my private info to access government services? They’ll operate it for the lowest cost and eventually get breached.
Medicare is also largely outsourced and using AI to arbitrarily deny coverage in 6 test states in traditional Medicare. People with life-threading condition are being denied and told to pay out-of-pocket.
Are they locked into a contract that prevents them to use login.gov? I presume once the irs and dmv switched Id.me is toast

Login.gov is still in use by the states, though. I recently registered for CA’s DROP, and it used Login.gov.
