I can’t even imagine the headwinds that effort is facing as prices for literally every single component has skyrocketed and there seeming not being any compelling value proposition to use Xbox instead of PlayStation or Nintendo. Even Sony and Nintendo are probably sweating bullets with component prices, and they have many more advantages over ham-fisted Microsoft.
