They don't want to add prompting in uv and make a few bucks per token. They want apps on demand. They want to own a platform. They want to be the next layer.
uv is just an implementation details to make that good, and so that's why I think it will stay so.
The tool is good enough that most people will stay regardless. The question is whether OpenAI leaves it alone or slowly pulls it into their ecosystem.
