Hey HN! I’m a student at Stony Brook and built YeetCode with a friend to make coding interview prep more engaging.
We noticed that practicing LeetCode alone gets boring and inconsistent, so we wanted to add a competitive and social layer.
The core feature is real-time duels — two people solve the same problem and race to finish first. We also added groups and leaderboards to keep people accountable.
Tech stack: FastAPI, React, SQLite3.
Would love feedback on:
Whether this actually makes you practice more
What features you’d want in something like this
Any UX or flow issues you notice
