My friends had 8-bit Atari computers, and I had a C64, so I got a 300 Baud Vic-Modem and got on some local BBSes. Did you know the founder of Commodore bought out Atari after leaving Commodore, and Commodore bought out Amiga, which was supposed to be bought out by Atari? So Atari made the Atari ST line, and Commodore made the Amiga line. Both 16-Bit computers that competed with the Apple Macintosh and even had emulators to run Macintosh software.
