I have indeed found that having Opus write and review the code can lead to issues with error detection. Having Codex review the code, however, can uncover some of Opus's blind spots. It's a great project.
I believe that models from different vendors offer different perspectives; at the same time, there are indeed models that match Haiku's capabilities while being cheaper than Haiku.
