It seems like a start departure from the privacy-positioned Apple. There’s no good angle on this that I can imagine. And while Apple isn’t really as privacy-conscious as their marketing would presume, it just doesn’t feel right to have them build this product.
Google and Meta have tried, with lukewarm reception from users and stark criticism from everyone else. You go Apple, copy other people’s bad ideas and ruin the brand.
