I am wondering the same thing. I was reading a paper yesterday,

I might (one day) try to make some. I wonder a little about the useful life span and what sort of downside there would be to making / using this.
MOFs (Metal-Oxide-Frameworks) have been around since early 1990s, supposedly promise radical improvements (e.g., literally water in the desert) yet we see little implementation. Why?
