This is a “perfect is the enemy of good” situation.
If the alternative was permanent standard time this argument would be meaningful; but the alternative is switching time twice a year. (unless there is also proposed legislation for permanent standard time?)

I wanted DST until I passed 50yo. My sleep moved from bulletproof to affectable. I have much less insomnia during standard time.
Whatever it will be, staying at one time is better than what we have right now.
