Reminds me of Department of Defense, Department of Education etc from 1987 book.
What’s Sam and Dario gonna lobby for next? Let’s ban capitalism?
The split is just people who want to protect AI moats and people who want cheap AI. But I think there are a lot of interesting geopolitical implications.
Article (title?) seems to imply there are sides in this debate, equally sized. I doubt that is the case.
(like "silicon valley splits over alien visitations", etc)
