Why are we so eager to stigmatize determining whether some work is "AI" or not? That is, we're quick to say "I'm tired of people calling something AI slop", we're quick to decry people saying "this is slop", as this post does. I'm sorry this guy got falsely called out, but "AI" slop is an enormous problem, not the least part of which is something like plagiarism - taking credit for LLM generated material. It should be called out, I think. Defend the work in question, then move along, don't try to normalize quasi-plagiarism by keeping people from calling slop.
