Very cool! On mobile rn so can't dig deeper but how did you make the map graphic?
Just vanilla js and d3. Data is from:
- ice, landm and sea level views: https://data.bas.ac.uk/full-record.php?id=GB/NERC/BAS/PDC/01...
- claim boundaries: https://geodata.lib.utexas.edu/catalog/stanford-jj231ks3840
Looks like it needs an American flag and the biggest data center the world has ever scene. Strategic South anyone?
