if you look at the map of data-centers in Ireland (Dublin) all of them landed in disadvantaged areas - where people been given false promises or not considered at all - those of lower status can be shoved over while those places get green light to being built
Even as an ML researcher, the behavior of tech companies increasingly disgusts me. How people ever believe companies have the best interests of humanity at heart is beyond me.

What kind of jobs? Best case: “temporary construction jobs” lol
Or its going to generate alot of tax revenue. While cities are giving out multi-decade TIFs.
At the end of 20 years, that datacenter won't be usable, and just another tear down.
